Privacy Policy

Both as a personal data controller and personal data assistant, we handle personal data about users, customers, partners, and private individuals who either visit our website or contact us.

§ 1 Cookies

A cookie is a short text string that can be stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone. A cookie may be used for many purposes, e.g. to identify your computer or remember what you wrote the last time you visited a website. Because cookies are used for different purposes, more than one cookie is usually stored when you visit a website.

When you visit our LMS for the first time, you will be greeted by a cookie banner at the bottom of the screen. If you press Allow, you agree to third-party cookies being stored by your browser. If you press Decline, only cookies that are technically necessary for the website to function are stored, and no cookies from third parties.

§ 1.1 Necessary cookies

Our LMS uses some cookies that are technically necessary and cannot be declined. These include:

  • A unique session ID that our service uses to associate your browser with your logged-in user
  • Your chosen language
  • Information about whether you agree to third-party cookies

None of these contain any personal information.

§ 1.2 Third-party cookies

If you choose to allow third-party cookies, we may also store cookies related to the following services:

  • Youtube – some of our educational videos are on Youtube, and in order to show these "embedded" in the LMS, it is necessary to let them store cookies on your computer.

§ 1.3 How long are our cookies stored?

Cookies must be deleted by the browser when their lifetime expires. Our necessary cookies expire as soon as you close your browser, except for the one that keeps track of whether you agree to third-party cookies; that one expires after 365 days. The lifespan of third-party cookies is beyond our control and may vary between one and 730 days, or they may expire when you close the browser. All cookies are renewed each time the LMS is visited.

§ 1.4 Change your consent

You can change your consent or refusal of third-party cookies at any time by clicking on the small Cookie Policy tab at the bottom of the page. On a computer, this tab may be minimized, but folds up automatically when you hover over it.

§ 2 Processing of personal data

Our LMS collects and handles the amount of personal information about our users, which is necessary for us to be able to deliver our service in the best way, and get in touch with our customers.

§ 2.1 When you are a registered LMS user

When you, as a teacher, school administrator or parent, register as a user in our LMS, we collect your name and e-mail address. We also require the following information for the service to be useful:

  • For teachers / school administrators: The name of the school / schools and possibly address, the name of the class(es) and possibly grade and pupils' names (fake names or just first names also work).
  • For parents: The child's / children's name (fake names or just first names also work).

This data is entered by you personally or by us, with your approval.

§ 2.2 When you visit our LMS

As stated in § 1.2, third-party cookies are stored by the web browser of everyone who visits our LMS and expressly approves of it. These cookies do not contain personal information, but they give us the opportunity to gather information about our visitors. The information collected is the IP address, the geographical location of the device, the browser and information about how our LMS is used. For example, it may concern which pages have been visited and how long a user has stayed on a particular page.

The collected information is only used internally at Gro Play AB to analyze and keep statistics on how visitors use our LMS.

§ 3 What happens if we are not allowed to handle your data

The majority of the information we collect is necessary for us as a business to be able to fulfill our commitment to our customers, users, and partners. If you do not agree that we handle your personal data as specified above, you will not be able to use Grow Planet.

Although we would very much like to collect information on how you use our LMS to be able to analyze, develop and market our products, we fully understand if you do not want us to do so. Contact us if you do not want us to use your information for these purposes, or deny third-party cookies as per § 1.4 above.

§ 4 How long do we store your personal data?

How long we store your personal data depends on the purpose for which we collect it. Therefore, we cannot say exactly how long we save it, but we only handle it as long as it is necessary for us to fulfill the purpose. For example, customer data is handled as long as we have a customer relationship with a specific customer, because we cannot otherwise fulfill our obligations. Selected data may also be saved for up to five years after the customer relationship has ended, in case we are obliged by law to do so.

If you want to know more about how long we store your data, you are always welcome to contact us.

§ 5 Changes to, and updates of, our privacy policy

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that our privacy policy may change continuously, so that it always reflects how we handle personal data. We therefore urge you to keep up to date on our privacy policy, but of course we will notify interested parties if we make changes that are important for data protection.

§ 6 What rights do you have?

You have, according to current legislation, the right to know what data Gro Play AB has registered about you, and why we need this data.

You may always contact us if you want to get an overview of your personal data stored by us. If you think the data we have is incorrect, or that we process it incorrectly, you may object to the processing. Depending on the case, we will decide whether to correct or delete the information, and if so, how it will affect your access to our services.

If, after contacting us, you should still be dissatisfied with our processing of your personal data, you can turn to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
